Wood & Well 1-Year Limited Warranty

Built for service. Backed by Wood & Well

Wood & Well warrants Grüver and Grüver+ to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship under normal and intended use for one (1) year from the original date of purchase.

If your Grüver or Grüver+ experiences a covered defect during the warranty period, Wood & Well will, at its discretion, repair the product, replace the affected component, or replace the product with the same or a reasonably equivalent product.

What This Warranty Covers

This Limited Warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship that cause Grüver, Grüver+, or their permanent assemblies to fail during normal and intended use.

Coverage applies to normal home and professional bar use when the product is used for its intended purpose and cared for in accordance with Wood & Well’s instructions.

Examples of potentially covered defects may include failure of a permanent structural component, manufacturing defects in the handle or frame, or other failures attributable to materials or workmanship rather than wear, misuse, damage, or improper care.

What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This Limited Warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Replaceable blades or other wear components
  • Blade dulling, wear, bending, chipping, corrosion, or damage
  • Rust, corrosion, oxidation, staining, or water spotting
  • Brass tarnish, oxidation, or patina
  • Scratches, scuffs, dents, chips, discoloration, or other cosmetic changes
  • Loose, worn, damaged, stripped, or lost removable screws or hardware
  • Damage caused by dropping, impact, accident, misuse, abuse, or neglect
  • Damage caused by improper cleaning, care, storage, or maintenance
  • Damage caused by dishwashers or commercial warewashing equipment
  • Damage resulting from prolonged exposure to moisture, citrus juice, salt, acids, cleaning chemicals, or other corrosive substances
  • Damage caused by alteration, modification, unauthorized repair, or use of incompatible components
  • Damage caused by use for purposes other than those for which the product was designed
  • Loss or theft

Normal environmental and cosmetic changes are not manufacturing defects.

Replaceable Blades

Grüver’s citrus blades are replaceable wear components and are designed to be replaced as necessary.

Normal blade wear, dulling, chipping, bending, corrosion, staining, or other deterioration resulting from use is not covered under this Limited Warranty.

Replacement blades are available separately from Wood & Well.

Grüver+ Paring Knife

Grüver+ includes a fixed, sharp paring knife.

The blade cover must be securely installed over the paring knife before Grüver+ is used for peeling or citrus garnish preparation. The cover should be removed only when the paring knife is being used and replaced immediately afterward.

Damage or injury resulting from use of Grüver+ without the blade cover properly installed during peeling or garnish preparation is not covered by this Limited Warranty.

Normal wear, edge dulling, scratching, staining, corrosion, chipping, or damage to the paring knife resulting from use is not considered a defect in materials or workmanship.

Care and Maintenance

Grüver and Grüver+ are precision cutting tools and should be cared for accordingly.

Hand wash after use and dry thoroughly before storage.

Do not leave the tool wet or allow citrus juice, salt, acids, cleaning chemicals, or other corrosive substances to remain on it for extended periods.

Do not place Grüver or Grüver+ in a dishwasher or commercial warewasher.

Stainless steel is corrosion resistant, not corrosion proof. Rust, corrosion, staining, oxidation, or discoloration resulting from use, environment, storage, or care is not considered a defect in materials or workmanship.

Brass naturally changes appearance with use and exposure to the environment. Tarnish and patina are normal characteristics of the material and are not defects.

Warranty Remedy

If a warranty claim is approved, Wood & Well will determine, at its discretion, whether to:

  • Repair the product
  • Replace the affected component
  • Replace the product with the same product
  • Replace the product with a reasonably equivalent product

Replacement products or components may differ in appearance, materials, finish, or design from the original due to changes in production, availability, or product development.

A repaired or replaced product does not begin a new warranty period. Coverage continues for the remainder of the original one-year warranty period, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Shipping for Warranty Claims

Wood & Well will provide instructions for approved warranty claims.

Where Wood & Well requires the product to be returned for inspection or service, responsibility for shipping costs will be determined based on the circumstances of the claim and applicable law.

Nothing in this Limited Warranty limits any mandatory consumer rights that apply in the purchaser’s jurisdiction.
